JW Art Gallery’s sister ‘Studio Pers’, which has carefully selected art products from all over the world, has been hosting a pop-up event. It is inspired by artist Shin Ye-jin’s solo exhibition <Nondeterministic nonperiodic flow> and Studio Pers created art goods related to it. The first outside event has been at the cafe <Cafe de Calm> located in Jeju since early October.
This pop-up event by artist Shin Ye-jin in Jeju, which has pure natural images and mysterious shapes has been touching reality and the source of inspiration. Above all, whenever the fabric made using the artist's ceramics as an object shines through the sunlight falling from the autumn sky, the soft light and ceramic pieces containing a part of nature are very impressive. It's just natural as if you were there.
Studio Pers is an online shopping brand where you can purchase the artist's goods whenever any exhibition happens at JW Art Gallery. In particular, the 'Postcard Book', which covers the exhibition's essence and work of art, performs as a mini catalog. Because of that, Studio Pers’ art goods are blended well with the contents of <Cafe de Calm>, located in the beautiful suburbs of Jeju, and their combination creates a calm synergy.
The art director of JW Art Gallery said that she was able to acknowledge the potential, kindness, and harmony of Studio Pers through this Jeju pop-up project.
This pop-up is currently operated under the same name as the exhibition <Nondeterministic nonperiodic flow> by artist Shin Ye-jin, held at JW Art Gallery last spring, and is scheduled to be held at <Cafe de Calm> until early next year.
