SHARP #1
: Vietnam & Korea Private International Cultural Exchange Project
JW Fine Art participates in the operation of the international residency project ‘SHARP #1 (Seoul Hanoi Artist Residency Plexus #1)’ as a support project to revitalize private international cultural exchange between Korea and Vietnam organized by the Seoul city government.
This project is an international residency program that attempts to revitalize the art world, where international exchanges have been shrunk due to the impact of COVID-19 that has hit the world. The residency program is a project to help artists work by providing creative living spaces such as residences, exhibition spaces, and studios for a certain period of time.
JW Fine Art CEO Jung Sung-gyun said, “I am delighted to start JW Fine Art’s first overseas exchange project with Vietnam. We plan to present a variety of works across the world beyond borders and languages,” he said.
SHARP #1 is created in a way that Korean and Vietnamese artists stay together in Seoul to conduct joint research and creation. The exhibition of joint creations will be held simultaneously at the JW Fine Art Gallery located in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul in December and on the SHARP #1 official website as well.
