The ‘Gwangmyeong Cave Wine Festival’ hosted by Gwangmyeong Urban Innovation Corporation and Gwangmyeong Cave organization will be held from September 30th to October 3rd at Gwangmyeong Cave located in Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
JW Art Gallery participates in the category of ‘Korean Wine Creative Label’, which has received the most popularity at this event. This is a way in which the labels of leading wineries in Korea are replaced with the works of artists exclusive to the gallery through this chance given by the festival. About 40 wine labels from all over the country will be shown as works of JW Art Gallery and that will be presented to all visitors.
A total of seven artists were submitted at JW Art Gallery, including Rhee Kwang-bok, Choi Sung-won, Joo Woon-hang, Jo Min-young, Park Jong-sung, Jo Myoung-hee, and Shin Ye-jin. Art director Lee Ji-soo, who participated in the label selection for the Gwangmyeong Cave Wine Festival, said, “It is a positive and proud thing that the beautiful works of artists can help promote and develop Korean wine.” She said that the interest and expectations are high as well.
The ‘Gwangmyeong Cave Wine Festival’ will start a day before the opening ceremony on October 1st, and various wine-related events such as stage performances, busking performances, wine seminars, and experience programs will also be held as scheduled.
