Artist CHOI, SUNG-WON who is a graduate of Keimyung University's Graduate School of Art is an established artist. He has held more than 30 solo exhibitions and about 340 invitation group exhibits. He was also selected for Artist of the Year, Ulsan Arts Council Contribution Award, and KART POST Artist, and worked as a director of the Occidental Painting Department of the Ulsan Art Association.
Born in Angang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, where the character of a scholar remains, he spent his school days in Gyeongju. It may be right to say that this background and environment led him to the world of Korean landscape painting style. The knack of the skillful brush seen in his paintings and the determination created by the restrained colors are well-blended. Although it is an oil painting, it also has the charm of a plain landscape painting.
